Who We Are at Monoplex Eye Prosthetics and Studley Ocular Labs
Peter J. Kazanovicz, BCO
Peter is the owner and president of both Studley Ocular Labs and Monoplex Eye Prosthetics. Peter graduated from Worcester Institute of Technology in 1985 and went on to train at American Optical Monoplex Prosthetics Division.
In 1991 Peter relocated to Southern, NH where he took over for Isabel Studley, BCO, as Owner and Lead Ocularist of Studley Ocular Laboratories, a well-established practice with offices in Maine, New Hampshire and Massachusetts. Peter received his Board Certification with the American Society of Ocularists that very same year.
In 2001 Peter purchased Monoplex Eye Prosthetics, in Sturbridge Ma, the very same practice where he once trained.
Peter has distinguished himself in the field of Ocularistry as an artist and healthcare provider with excellent technical skills which allow him to create incredibly life like, handcrafted custom ocular prosthetics. He works closely with many Oculoplastic surgeons and Opthalmologists to ensure our patients receive the highest quality of care possible.
He currently travels between all office locations and prides himself on being available and accessible to patients all over New England.
“It is important to not only make the highest quality prosthetic we can but to also make sure each patient receives the highest quality of care.”
Lindsey is currently working as an Ocularist. She began her rigourous training in 2008, after receiving her Bachelor’s Degree from Emmanuel College. Lindsey brings a warmth and accessibility to our practices. Her ability to make patients comfortable and happy with their prosthetic eye care is her highest priority. “Our goal is for patients to walk in and feel from the start that they are comfortable, safe and on their way to a new beginning.”
Christopher is an Ocularist and Laboratory Technician who has recently begun his training and is focused on producing the highest quality prosthetics with an attention to detail instilled in him by Peter. “The custom lab work we do requires a high level of attention to detail and this attention to detail ensures each eye has the best fit possible.”
Lorraine is a painter at our Monoplex office. She has over 40 years of experience in painting ocular prosthetics and works very closely with Peter in maintaining the pigments and other materials used every day. “Painting eyes is a delicate process and it is important that all the materials we use are of the highest quality.”
Helen is our Patient Care Coordinator at the Studley Ocular Lab Office. With over 14 years of experience she knows that a big part of the patient care process is making sure the all the paperwork is completed with the least amount of stress for the patient. “Medical insurance can be a daunting experience and I want to make sure we support the patient as we navigate the process together”
Michelle is our Front Office Manager and Patient Care Coordinator at the Monoplex Office. For her, patient care starts with the first phone call. “It is my job to make sure patients feel welcome and at ease from the start.”
